January 9-11, 2014 ~ Vail Big Beers, Belgians, and Barleywines Festival
Dubbed “one of the best collections of beer ever seen in one place”. This international slice of beer is extremely diverse; Belgians, lambics, sours and mead highlight the lighter end of the spectrum, while the Barleywines and Strong Ales dominate the other, with specialty beers from some of the most creative commercial brewers in the world… including Butcherknife Brewing!
March 21-29, 2014 ~ Colorado Craft Beer Week
Colorado Craft Beer Week is a celebration of Colorado breweries, their beers and the people who brew them. The Butcherknife Brewing Tap room won’t be open yet, but in lieu of Butcherknife beer, be sure you head out and support this state’s other excellent craft brewers!

There are 30,000 people living with ALS in the United States and more than 350,000 worldwide. There is no effective treatment or cure. Proceeds this year will go to the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI), the world’s most advanced research center focused exclusively on solving the ALS crisis. Oh yes, back again at this wonderful event! Join us and over 25 other Colorado breweries for this unlimited tasting event benefiting the Colorado Brewers Guild.
We had a blast here introducing ourselves to Summit area craft beer fans and can’t wait to show them what we’re doing on our production system now.
August 2, 2014 ~ Sculpture Park | Denver, CO
This August, Imbibe and the Colorado Brewers Guild present SESH FEST. Enjoy dozens of breweries paying homage to the session-style beer at this summer’s Sesh Fest. Plenty of art, food, lawn games, and music to complement Colorado craft beer.
We can’t find a real definition for session beers, but we here are Sesh Fest define them as any beer under 5% ABV with a balance of flavor between hops and malt and a clean, crisp finish all combine to give a beer high drinkability. The real purpose of session beers is to allow a beer lover to have multiple beers in one sitting without feeling the overwhelming effects of alcohol.
August 9, 2014 ~ Hideaway Park | Winter Park, CO
This great annual event in Winter Park offers brews, views and great live music. Unlimited beer tasting from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. with 30+ micro brewers on hand sampling their classic hoppy beverages and a few new ones.
This event is a ‘don’t miss’ for beer aficionados, music lovers and festival goers. Besides great beer, Beer Fest attendees will enjoy food from vendors, retail vendors, and live music from 3 acts throughout the day including headliner The Samples, White Water Ramble, and Missed the Boat. The Winter Park Beer Festival is a fundraiser for the Grand Foundation.
September 19-20, 2014 ~ Steamboat Oktoberwest | Steamboat Springs, CO
Spend the afternoon tasting Colorado Beer and relaxing with your feet in the creek at the Steamboat Mountain Village. The Beer Garden will feature over 30 Colorado Brewers, each sampling at least 2 kinds of brew! Each attendee receives a commemorative mug with the purchase of the Beer Garden ticket. OktoberWest at the Steamboat Mountain Village is free to attend and listen to great live music. You can purchase tickets in advance for the beer garden through the Steamboat Mountain Village.

Butcherknife Brewing was selected to pour at the Great American Beer Festival and we couldn’t be prouder! The Great American Beer Festival is the premier U.S. beer festival and competition.
Each year, GABF represents the largest collection of U.S. beer ever served, in a public tasting event plus a private competition. GABF brings together the brewers and diverse beers that make the U.S. the world’s greatest brewing nation.
The Great American Beer Festival takes place at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. Look for the sharpest tap handles in the room and that’s where we’ll be.
